BLACK HISTORY MONTH
FOUNDRY COMMERCIAL
Foundry Commercial had never celebrated Black History Month (BHM) internally for associates in the 15 years it had been established.
I presented a campaign concept in the form of a company-wide celebration and worked as the art director/creative lead to implement the first ever internal  Black History Month acknowledgment.
Something crucial in our celebration of BHM was the racial wealth gap. With the help of a "Culture Committee" member from each market, we gathered a list of black-owned businesses for associates to support in February and beyond the month.
The #BuyBlack Initiative was further encouraged with the idea that each office would host a catered lunch or activity provided by a local black-owned business or service. Throughout the month offices held activities that featured catered desserts, in-office massages, catered breakfasts, and ice cream socials.
